Helge Hellberg is the Executive Director of Marin Organic, an innovative non-profit organization dedicated to creating the first all organic county in the nation. In this position, Hellberg works to promote and support local, organic agricultural producers by creating partnerships and alliances among organizations, governmental agencies, restaurants, and retailers.

In his previous role as the Marketing & Communications Director for California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF), one of the largest organic certifiers in the United States, Hellberg worked to educate the food industry and the public about the importance of establishing an agricultural system based on biologically sound methods and the value of organic food.

As a Certified Holistic Nutrition Counselor, Hellberg frequently trains retail store personnel and gives public talks demonstrating the connections between nutrition, agriculture, food production, and environmental and human health.

Hellberg holds a Master's degree in Marketing and Communications, and a Bachelor's degree in music, and is currently working on a book that takes an in-depth look at the connection between local organic food production, environmental and human health, and spirituality.
