Point Reyes Farmers’ Market

Marin Organic is proud to present the world famous Point Reyes Farmers Market, the only all local, all certified organic produce market in the wider Bay Area. The market features the best this region has to offer: the freshest locally grown organic produce, baked goods, artisan cheeses, olive oils, grass-fed beef products, homemade preserves, oysters, bee products, flowers, locally produced wool clothing, and body care products.

The Point Reyes Farmers Market reached "royal" status when it was visited by Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall in November of 2005. Held at Toby’s Feed Barn in downtown Point Reyes Station (a town of 350 residents), the market is set in one of the most beautiful locations in the Bay Area. With Point Reyes National Seashore and hundreds of miles of hiking trails only a stone’s throw away from the farmers market, a joyful day is guaranteed.

The market also features live music, cooking demonstrations and book signings by renowned chefs, and much more.

Be part of the community, meet your organic farmers, and enjoy the finest organic food farmers can grow.

The Point Reyes Farmers Market:
Every Saturday from 9am - 1pm, at Toby's Feedbarn, in downtown Point Reyes Station - rain or shine.

Celebrate local, celebrate organic!

The Point Reyes Farmers Market is supported by the County of Marin, Marin Organic, Point Reyes Books, and Toby’s.

Farmers Market Harvest Dinner Celebrates 2006 Season

The Point Reyes Farmers Market celebrated the close of a wonderfully successful season on Saturday, November 18th. The last market day was Saturday, November 4th. The market will open again in June 2007.

The celebratory dinner and auction was held at Toby’s feedbarn and raised more than $5,000 to help support the market next year. Local artists donated hand-painted chairs and Bolinas resident Mary Bromwell donated a week in her 800 year-old home in Gubbio, Italy.
“The Point Reyes Farmers Market is the only all local, all certified organic produce market in the wider Bay Area,” Marin Organic Executive Director Helge Hellberg said. “It’s a place where the community meets on Saturdays, a place where you get the feeling of home, even for a first time visitor.” The harvest dinner was a wonderful celebration of that community.

Point Reyes Farmers’ Market Accepts WIC FMNP Coupons
and Offers Senior Discounts

The Point Reyes Farmers’ Market has two programs which help to support the elders of West Marin as well as low income residents. On a voluntary basis, market vendors are offering a 10 percent discount to any shopper 60 years and older. Those vendors participating in the Senior Program will display a sign offering the discount.

The market's vegetable growers are also now accepting WIC FMNP coupons as part of the California Farmers Market Nutrition Program. The WIC Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program is associated with the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (otherwise known as WIC). The WIC program provides supplemental foods, health care referrals and nutrition education to low-income mothers and children. In 1992, Congress established the Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program in order to provide fresh, unprepared, locally grown fruits and vegetables to WIC participants.

Please come visit the market and help support the farmers who are supporting these programs!
