A resilient community is one that can feed, employ and celebrate one another; Marin Organic is committed to building a resilient community through a sustainable, county-wide food system. We work closely with many other local organizations to support a viable agricultural model, grow the local economy, and establish a vibrant food system for all residents. From the Marin Organic School Lunch and Gleaning Program, which delivers healthy, local, organic food to schools, senior centers and underserved communities throughout Marin, to farm tours for local residents, international guests and underserved schoolchildren; From free educational events that raise awareness about the importance of local and organic food, like our Food for Thought author series, to opportunities to gather together and harvest, like the Marin Organic Glean Team, Marin Organic and our many partners are addressing obesity, social justice, hunger and the exploitation of natural resources.
