By buying local, we help reduce the negative environmental impact of importing flowers. Local Flora was created by Silke Vom Bauer to pay homage to the West Marin landscape. The interior look of the store along with her unique floral designs celebrate Marin’s farmland vernacular. The store interior was built without any new lumber, but by using local recycled barn wood, antique furniture and reclaimed corrugated roofing material helped create our weathered look. Organic Flowers are an important part of the selection at Local Flora, along with vegetables seedlings from Cow Track Ranch in Nicasio and a rich palette of cut flowers from Star Route Farms in Bolinas. Local Flora is a full service “green” florist offering services for your event, home, or business. They even deliver in Marin County via bio-diesel.
