C'mon out...

Located just over an hour’s drive from San Francisco, the Nick’s Cove site is gently nestled on the east shore of Tomales Bay, long celebrated as one of the California coast’s most spectacular settings. Ideally situated along the Pacific flyway and next to the Point Reyes National Seashore preserve, the Nick’s Cove site is just south of Bodega Bay’s famed fishery, home to steelhead, coho, herring, striped bass, sturgeon, halibut, and more – and of course a wide variety of the delicious oysters, from Drake’s Bay to Hog Island, for which the area has long been famed. The possibilities for company activities such as teambuilding exercises are boundless - surrounded by pristine, protected forest land, the area is a haven for pursuits such as horseback riding, hiking, bird watching, cycling, mushroom foraging, wind surfing, kayaking, picnicking, and fishing.

Nick’s Cove seaside cottages each feature an array of site-inspired amenities, including over-the-water or water-view deck, wood-burning stove, heated bathroom floors, claw foot bath tubs and European marble bath tiles, antique furnishings, high-thread-count linens, hidden flat panel TV, satellite XM radio, hypo-allergenic pillows, complimentary wi-fi and in-room spa and massage services.

The new Nick’s Cove & Cottages features 12 luxury suites located on or over the water, a 400-foot pier ending in a Kuleto-designed Boat Shack (best board room on the coast of Northern California), docking for local fishermen, and the fully restored Nick’s Cove restaurant.

Like Nick’s Cottages, Nick’s Cove restaurant, with its grand open fireplace, has been gloriously revived. The 130-seat, indoor/outdoor restaurant features meeting areas, glassed-in deck, beautifully restored mahogany bar and large working stone fireplace that serves as one of the focal points of the room. The 400-foot pier extends off the restaurant deck and into the bay, providing a phenomenal view of Hog Island.

In addition to the unrivaled setting and scenery, Nick’s Cove’s award-winning culinary team indulges guests with their delicious array of catering options, from a platter of fresh, local oysters for an afternoon snack to a sit-down three-, four- or five-course meal, sampling the local bounty of Tomales Bay and Marin County, complete with locally-caught fish, locally-raised meat, locally produced/harvested dairy products and produce – even wine sourced from a select group of boutique wineries from Marin and Sonoma counties.

Nick’s Cove is dedicated to minimizing its impact on the environment, with an extensive “green” program that includes supporting sustainable farming & aquaculture practices, organic produce and responsible animal husbandry, extensive kitchen composting of vegetable scraps, as well as recycling, water conservation and energy efficiency. A portion of our produce is grown in our organic garden. Nick’s Cove menus are printed on 100% FSC certified, recycled paper, using only post-consumer fibers, 100% green energy and chlorine free processing.
